Art 101 Lesson 3: Buy Good Supplies

Buying art supplies might be the one hobby I have that competes with actually doing art. What I have learned over the years is this: use good supplies. When I start a new hobby I never want to spend a lot, I am worried I might not enjoy what I am doing. Then I will have wasted money. But what always happens is I am not satisfied with cheap poorly made art supplies and I end up buying the good stuff anyway. So by the end I have actually spent more than if I had invested in quality products from the beginning. And if there is anything I have learned, a lot of times (not always) you get what you pay for. So do your research! Before you buy any supplies, watch videos and read reviews on the products you are considering.
