Art 101 Lesson 1: The Imperfect Perfect

Art can be anything. Art is everything. And nothing is perfect. I remember reading about amish quilts. The amish place a mistake in their quilts to remind them of humility. Humans are not free of error, so why should we expect our art to be.

I did not do art for a long time. I suffered from imposter syndrome. I wanted to be an artist but my work was never good enough. I still keep all my work on shelves or in boxes. But when I recalled that mistakes are sometimes done on purpose, I began to embrace all of my "happy little accidents."
